THE GRAND LIVING ROOM

Larkspur Builders worked with Studio Collins Weir to create a spare and sumptuous living room for the 2019 San Francisco Decorator Showcase. Located in San Francisco’s iconic 1904 “Le Petit Trianon,” the intricate, original architecture of the living room serves as an exquisite canvas for this grand salon. The room is organized around a central axis, articulated with original classical motifs restored and painted a warm white. The niches between the columns are filled with mirrors extending the language of the windows around the room. This gesture also expands the views of the surrounding gardens to create a traditional setting that manages to blur the lines between indoors and out.
